About

Carbon Dating was established by Dr Liz Genever as a response to queries she was getting from a range of farmers. Livestock farmers who had access to arable land outside their local area was normally due to connections through family or college friends. Without these connections, livestock farmers were struggling to find solutions for their farms. So Carbon Dating wants to build connections through the country.

Carbon Dating is aiming to become the go-to place for farmers who are interested in integrating livestock into arable businesses, in terms of contacts, information, guidance and case studies.
Carbon Dating - Livestock Farming
Carbon Dating - Arable Farming
Liz is a third generation mixed farmer from south-west Lincolnshire and recognises the power of mixed farming to improve soil health and mitigate risk in enterprises. She is an independent beef and sheep systems consultant, a co-founder of Carbon Calling and wants to use her network to help farmers identify new opportunities. Her focus area for her consultancy is working with businesses who want to integrate livestock in arable systems. Integration with livestock is a core pillar of regenerative farming systems, but sometimes the best approach is to work with a grazier due to the lack of experience or passion for livestock in the arable business.
